Here is a little bit more detail image from the new trans mount and cross member modification...

As mentioned before, this thing is beefy... and combined with the new billet motor mounts, the power will be going where it's needed and not be lost in the drivetrain as extra waste due to component movement...

I got a phone call from The DriveShaft Specialists of Texas today, and went and picked up this monstrosity...

It is a 4" aluminum one piece driveshaft custom built for this car and the new trans...

The U-joints are Spicer XL Cold forged 1350 pieces... top shelf items... The yoke is the one we got from Strange, it's a billet piece, and the shaft itself is simply massive... We have 3/16 of an inch minimum clearance around it and with the trans mount and the sturdy mounted diff, nothing will be moving much so it's nice and snug....

I want to throw out a big shout to Brent, Billy and Co. for the great work and quick service... Great Guys to deal with...

One other items came in today, well, several items did, but I have pics of this one...

Brandon at IPS, Terri, Darth Emma... Thanks to you folks for this one...

WooHoo... My Corbeau seats came in....

I'll wait until we finish the cage and interior work to do anything other than check them for fit, but they are amazing... much better in person than what I thought seeing them online...

I've been keeping up with your build and it looks like Brandi is coming together quite well, everything looks great

We have 5 or 6 cars from the Cajun Camaro Club that are going to G16, Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet and who knows

Those seats look amazing. Much nicer than I thought they would be too! I will probably get a set of those once I get the current round of mods completed.

What harness did you get?

Man, I'm still hoping to make it to the Gathering, but at this point I'm not too sure... I've got so much work to do and I still need to get the AMS1000 dialed in when we get her running and I need some seat time prior to the Fest... I've also got to do some modifications to a couple of trailers before the Fest... It seems way out there time wise, but I leave in five days and wont be back for a month... and then a month at home and off to work for another month and then it's time for the Fest... We'll see, like I said, I'm still hopeful....

Hey T.

I haven't gotten any harness yet... I'm going to go over to Simpson when I get back and see what they have available and what looks best and will perform to what I need... I'll let them custom fit my harness...

Yeah, I was very pleased when I opened the box with the seats... I like the hard back as well... I forgot to get pics of that, but it's nicely done, and all leather upholstery... Very good quality leather too I might add...

So might I have the pleasure of being scared to death in one of those?

I gotta wonder how many people know where Houma is without looking it up on a map... I've spent quite a bit of time there... and got one nasty ticket... It was on me though so no complaining...

I'll measure the head room... first with the factory seats and then with these...
