BBKs will have better power, but for the price I paid I couldn't pass on it. Good luck with your BBKs, put some videos up when you get it done!

Digging the new videos...also posted on your other thread with them.
Thanks again for sharing your true thoughts and opinions to everyone on your setup. It's great to see what the Shorties do with all the other Catbacks and Intake systems working together. Way cool guys! Ivan |

Anyone have any trouble with them coming loose? Or do they come with special bolts? Really want these headers but am kinda leery about leaks around the heads after awhile.

Doug Thorley shorties have to be welded to the downpipe just above the cats, and the original downpipe must be cut according to their instructions. They do not bolt directly. This makes installation something of a pain, since most people cannot do it themselves; however, this also means there is very little chance that they will leak.
EDIT: If you're referring to the connection to the engine block exhaust manifold, you reuse the stock header bolts; so, there's just as much chance of a leak there as with any other headers.

Oh ya sorry I did mean the connection to the block. I didn't know if the torque specs for the headers would be less then for the iron manifolds. Thanks
