MRT v2 HP Gains?

Anyone know what the MRT v2 HP gains are if there are any?

got to be something small like? 3-5hp? or 12-WRPH?

Just trying to get a list of all my mods and an idea by the book what i should have.

Thanks

2-3hp. You get the MRT2.0 for the sound not the HP.

They are worth every penny for that sound. The real power gains lie in the cats and manifolds though.

Actual situation

Here is latest time sheet from local track you might want to read about.

on left is my 2010 v6 r/s/ mods are injen Cai, Throttle body ported, Tri-fecta tune, mrt v-2.

car on right is my buds 2011 v6. mods are Cai. thats it..

As you can see..close by any standards..In my mind the mods i did, were not of a significance in final situation. I posted this in other area, but as i said i would have thought a better out come then this for the mods installed and some of the hype from dealers of these mods. make your own determination. good luck.

2011 is better then 2010 .. JK iDK.

I do know my 2011 Vert is listed at 320 from the 2010 @ what 311? dont know about 2011 coop.

But with a Throttle body ported, Tri-fecta tune, mrt v-2 at about what 28-30wrhp you had should have been little more than the Stock 2011. Man the tune on the TCM should have helped some.

This A or M? The tune on the TCM should have helped some if you have Auto.

Thanks for the info.

Just trying to get a idea on hp and wrhp. What is normal drop in hp to wrhp for v6 Auto? about 20%?

Going by this hp-wrhp
Stock Vert 320-256
C.A.I 20-16
Tune 30-24
MRT v2 5-4
Est total is about 375 hp and 20% loss for 300wrhp

and then extras in future

Vmax black ice-olator 25-20
Long tube headers 41.3-33
Vmax ported throthle 10-8

Future Est total is about 451.3hp and 20% loss for 361wrhp

Still not bad for a V6

my numbers got to be wrong right?
Sorry man..it doesn't work that way. You can't just stack HP numbers and come up with a total.

With a CAI, exhaust and tune you will be no where close to 375 HP. First off, your car is rated at 312 HP stock. With those three mods you might be lucky to be at 335 HP in IDEAL air temperature and altitude..

Also...your estimated numbers are way way high for each part. For isntance..you have 25 HP for the blac ice-olator, but that wasn't at peak. That was at midrange to upper midrange rpm. At peak, it barely made any HP over stock. Now getting good low and midrange gains is a very good thing....almost more important than peak gains for some reasons so I'm not putting down the gains whatsoever.

Also...a tune on a STOCK car has seen up to 13 HP....and for long tubes we've seen up to around 20HP. BBK is claiming 30 HP gains...but again this was off peak power...at peak they only made 18HP.

We have guys running ever single part you have listed above and they are making somewhere around 360 or maybe even 370 HP....which equates to just under 300 rear wheel horsepower for an automatic.

It is simply not possible to get to 361 rear wheel horsepower on this V6 without adding forced induction (turbo or supercharger or nitrous)

So you saying the vendor are lying when they say the CAI give a average of 20hp/16wrhp on stock? That alone would bring 312hp to around 332hp no?
Even going by your numbers - stock(312/249.6)+CAI(20/16)+Tune(16.3/13)=353.2/289 is still over 335/268
There has to be a way to est calculate this in math? or it can only be done on a dyno. Whats a good link to learn about this more.

Thanks for the 101!

I think its best for me to not even look into the HP and just have a good time with it
