Not sure how this rumor started, misprint maybe? Build sheet shows limited slip is standard on the 1ss and 2ss

The automatic does in fact come with a limited slip. The PR had a typo. Look at the order guides.

Currently a 2SS costs 4k more than a 1SS. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the 2SS starts around 42k.

I don't know if magnetic ride is included in 2SS or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if a loaded 2SS ends up costing damn near 50k.

Love what I've seen so far of the 2016 Camaro.

It seems like a huge upgrade in many areas.

But as others have mentioned, you have an awful lot of choices at $45k or so.

• New Chevrolet SS
• Used ZL1
• Used c6 Z06
• Used Shelby GT500
• Used Boss 302
• Used SRT Challenger or Charger

Last time, I ordered a 1SS 2010 Camaro without driving one because I wanted to have one ASAP.

This time, going to put a lot more thought into the shopping.

Hopefully it's a misprint and according to the 2015 Camaro 1SS and 2SS there is about a $3,800 price difference from starting MSRP, I guess we can predict a round about starting MSRP for the 2016 Camaro 2SS, I have a feeling the difference is going to be a bit greater compared to the 2015 difference .....

It's not that tough of a concept to comprehend, cooled seats is a technology I just got with a 9000.00 used car from 2002 lol. And others have stated hotter weather driving would be much more applicable for a camaro then frigid winter.

I said it once and I will say it again: These cars are going to depreciate like crazy. The day of the average, every-day working man buying a brand new V8 are definitely numbered. I think we've passed that point when cars began demanding beyond $30k.

Just get it used. Let somebody else deal with the high sticker price.

I think the problem doesnt 100% come down to the price (well it does), but GM tried to put too many features into the base model. Before if you wanted the 1SS, you did not have to get the RS package, you did not have to get the rear camera, you did not have to get etc.

I purchased my 2010 1SS in 2009. At that time you could get a stripped out V8 SS camaro with all of the performance goodies and none of the rest of the other BS for 30k (I added the RS package and the boston acoustics audio, thats it). That option is now gone. In the Mustang you can still get a stripped out GT.

If you go option to option pricing from old to new camaro, the pricing is not much of a difference, but a lot of us out there either want the fully loaded 2SS, or we want the completely stripped out V8.

People are now going to be looking online and compare the camaro to the mustang, and say wow the camaro is so much more than the mustang, screw that. They wont even get to the point of comparing options.

GM thinks the chevy is a cadillac or a BMW, its not. We want to buy our stripped out performance cars.

I'm also hoping that the starting MSRP they have listed for the 2016 Camaro 1LT @ $26,695 isn't for the 2.0L Turbo ........ !!!!!!!!!! ........ that might mean the 1LT w/3.6L(option) could run at a start of about $30,000 ....... my guess is that a 2LT will run about $35,000-$36,000 ........

I'm not bad mouthing anyone. Everyone has an opinion. I happen to like Chevy over Ford and Dodge, but can appreciate the performance of other cars. I even like BMW and MB. I might add that I was real calm when I made that post.
