Key Recall, fix that ugly gap!
GM has just released a plug to fill that ugly hole left after you've had the key recall completed. I know many have declined, or reversed the key recall, but for those of you who have had the recall completed, and are ok with the key separated from the fob can contact your dealer and ask them to reference bulletin #15-09-83-001 and order part #23345002. The neat thing is, the filler reads "CAMARO" The part was just released, therefore may take a bit for your dealer to get them in.

Does it still flip out or is it locked in?

No, it will not flip, it just fills the space that stored the key blade.

Just called my dealership and the service guy I talked to had no clue about this. Make sure you give them the dashes on the reference bulletin number, or they will not be able to look it up.
Parts are on order for me. Hopefully will get them fairly quickly. |

Or you can put a cut key in there to fill the ugly gap

According to the bulletin, your dealer should install them at no charge as a "goodwill" item if you had the recall completed. The number listed is for a pkg of 10 list for $35.44, so... $3.55 ea?

According to a post above, that's for enough pieces for 10 keys but the dealer shouldn't charge you for it anyway from what it sounds like.

If you are talking about the key recall or that filler that the OP mentioned, the dealership should not be charging you for it and it is time to find a new one...

Ok I'm a little behind on posting. That price would be a box of 10. He has no information on that part number other than Michigan has them and price.
