Impact Driver
Looking to pick up a quality impact driver that will last if taken care of. Preferable cordless.
What do you guys have/recommend? Any deals out there that you are aware of?

I was looking at the M12 on eBay... $120 shipped brand new for complete kit (case, battery, charger).
Will this take off lug nuts? Also... I don't see FUEL mentioned at the ones I'm looking at...

I've had the Ryobi 18v for over 4 years. No complaints yet. I do use a breaker bar to knock my lug nuts loose first.

Ryobi works good, especially if you make sure the dealer doesn't super torque the lug nuts. If you use the impact wrench for other uses, i would consider something a little better than Ryobi but for occasional use, the Ryobe is fine.

My Dewalt 18v kicks ass and I have had it 8 years.
And best of all they created a stem adapter to take the new 20v Lithium Ion batteries so now it matches all my new tools. This thing will break a 140ft lb lug loose.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel. Brushless, powerful and kicks ass. I had a cheaper one and while it could do lug nuts it couldn't do some other bolts. Not cheap but well worth the price.
Also, please note there's there's a difference between "impact driver" and "impact wrench". You want the impact wrench unless you're trying to drive screws into your new backyard deck with the impact driver. |

Ah. Yes, impact wrench. Thanks for clearing that up.
Appreciate everyone's responses. On the hunt for something this weekend. Also - while we are on the topic... What size socket do I need for Camaro lug nuts and what is the torque spec?

It is a 22mm socket and if you have 20's its 140lb ft.

What do most of you do to prolong battery life for these impact wrenches?
