Slept in the car for the first time today, do you?
Hey all,
So I normally never take a nap while on a work break, but today I had an extra 30 minutes to kill and I was tired, so I figured what the heck. I think I actually feel asleep for maybe 10 minutes so I know I might be trying it again in the future. Have you napped in your car? What way did you find best? Pillow? Blanket? I'm thinking of jumping in the passenger seat since it's easier to recline in my 2010, but do you have a preference?

I can sleep in my camaro for a solid 8 hours, I do when i'm on call and have to sleep at the office. Then again one time I fell asleep while operating a forklift moving class 3 chemicals. Allegedly.

I've slept in passenger seat once on lunch. Full recline.
I'd never get my driver seat right if I moved it. Screw the passengers |

Ya, I leaned my head against the driver's window and used a blanket to cushion my head. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be! I thought I would just lay there and struggle to fall asleep, but me waking up by the alarm tells me I did!

I slept in my camaro once, I just leaned the passenger seat all the way back and it was fine. It’s funny this thread was made though, as I just borrowed a friends c6 corvette and he told me he had slept in the trunk several times. I got back there and sure enough there was enough room to lay down and if you want, you can put your legs between the seats and be fully extended. Now that’s a selling point

I take naps in my car all the time. It's very comfortable - I just recline the driver's seat and stretch my legs out. :-)

I used to take naps in it during my lunch break. I've caught a few hours in it a couple of times.

Wife sleeps in passenger seat on way to work all the time. I Slept for an hour in a Carl's Jr parking lot in San Antonio on 30 hr straight drive from San Diego to Mobile.
What was funny about the drive from Cali was my wife drove for 3 or 4 hrs in the Texas desert in the middle of the nite with zero traffic but I couldn't sleep because there were Deer EVERYWHERE (it was Jan) and I was too nervous about crashing in the middle of no where. She drove again between Houston and Baton Rouge during the afternoon and the traffic was heavy and aggressive. She was stressing at first but I told her, look, the car will do what you want it to do, accelerate hard, steer tight and brake like a race car. After a while she started getting aggressive too and I slept like a baby for over 2 hours. When I woke up I thought maybe 20 or 30 minutes but when I saw over 2 hrs I was shocked. It reminded me of the movie "My Cousin Vinny" where he never gets a good nites sleep 'till he's in prison during a riot.

I like to put the back seat down and crawl into the trunk....dark and peaceful.....even wired an alarm clock into the brake light circuit. Keep a couple pillows and a down comforter in there. Does anyone know if a standard fuse can handle the amperage of an electric blanket?
