Took my ZL1 off roading

Swerved to miss 3 deer and right into a water filled ditch. Decided that four wheeling is not one of the attributes of the ZL1. Winch truck to get out and $6500 damage.

It’s a big concern of mine always, even here on Long Island. Western Long Island is not an issue with deer, but the east end has a population.

My son and I ride our ATV’s all over Pennsylvania. We have had them run directly across our path on trails. Hit one of them on an ATV at speed and you won’t be having a good day.

Good luck with the repairs. Hope it comes out 100% for you.

I am addicted to power, will work for mods.

Man, that stinks. Having been through a collision at the end of last year, I feel your pain. Best wishes with the repairs and glad you are okay.

Wasn't exactly my idea of fun. Happened about 700 feet from my driveway. Insurance is covering everything and body shop is managed by a good friend, so all should are good.

Sucks to see that and glad it's getting fixed. It's too late now, but don't swerve to miss a deer.

Good that you have a connection on the body shop side. FWIW, you might want to investigate a diminished value claim if that is a common thing to do in Alberta. Since it's on your own insurance, it might not be worth it if your premium goes up. Otherwise, it could be worth several thousand in your pocket.

Animal incidents fall under Comprehensive coverage, lower deduction by half and no increase in rates.

I had a close call at 4 am this morning. Love those brakes.
