It's not the players who are causing the problems, its the owners. The players are doing their best to not get screwed out of a bunch of revenue. I mean they were at something like 57% last season and the owners want them down 15%. Thats just stupid. Hopefully they can get something worked out this week so we can get some hockey back

Winter classic and all-star weekend also cancelled. It just sucks. I do not believe that there will be any NHL this year. Get ready for some KHL (Russian) hockey!!!! ESPN struck a deal with the KHL to air their games this season. A lot of the NHL players that we all know and love will be playing there under 1 year contracts. It's not the same...but it's something.

definitely does suck big time with no NHL Hockey, when will the KHL start playing on ESPN, I love watching hockey

Well judging by what's been happening this week, I have high hopes it is gonna end soon. They have met everyday this week except Monday for at least 6 hours each day. And they are meeting again tomorrow. I really think it will end soon.

Yea, a friend of mine who follows NBA said this type of thing happened right before their lockout ended, long meetings. So hopefully the same thing will happen here.
