I've owned mine for a month and a half and I have the eliminator in hand but I don't have a jack low enough to get to the brace or a curb high enough around here. It's an easy fix. I can't stand the buggy hill assist though.

I don't mean to sound stupid but what does the skip Shift Eliminator do? does it stop that grind from 1st to 2nd gear? it happens to me when I shift in high rpm's? is this what gets rid of it? also how hard is it to Install?

No, it just locks you out of 2nd and 3rd at low rpms and under low acceleration when trying to go first to second and forces you into 4th.

Really don't have that issue? it just locks alil on me when I wanna stift quick from 1st to 2nd but no issues getting in to other gears, maybe cause I shift at about 2500-3000rpm at normal driving lol ad 6000rpm when a 5.0 or srt8 pulls up

Easiest, cheapest way I've found is to just mash the go pedal in 1st. Works every time.

Exactly. I only ever run into mine when someone in front of me crawls slowly away from a traffic light.

It turns off once you hit 19mph. Not sure if RPM's play a part or not.

They also need to get the MPG as high as possible on every car they sell to meet their CAFE numbers.

This. I almost never hit the skip shift. Also, it's MUCH!!!!!! less intrusive than it was in the 4th gens.

I think of it as an idiot light, it just trying to tell you to stop driving like an old man and find the go pedal.

I never run into it and I shift at 2k. I've only had it happen to me a couple of times when I first got the car and hasn't happened since.
