That's a financial risk that GM is taking by allowing only one company "exclusive" rights. Or is it a ploy to have people beg and plead. It seems to work in this case. However, Hot Wheels already have Camaro in their line up. I've got the silver and orange ones.

I have some of the other Jada Camaro Concept Diecasts. They are super easy to take apart, you can even remove all side markers and headlights and such. I would be really cool paint one to match your car. I might order a silver one. Paint it IOM, and then get some charcoal grey contact paper and then just cut out stripes with an exacto knife. Then it really will be just like mine, the stripes will even be stickers!!! LOL

For fans of Imperial Blue Metallic: Greenlight makes a very nice 1/64 diecast Camaro (showcar version, but hard to tell because it is so small) in dark blue with white rally stripes (and unfortunately a white interior).

I think the car is only available in a limited edition 2-pack with a matching colored 1970 Z-28 for about $12.00. Greenlight diecasts are NOT like Hot Wheels, they are much more highly detailed (you can read the white lettered tires on the 1970 Z-28) and have opening hoods with a detailed engine.

Regards................Art.

Well we don't know just how much Jada had to fork over to get those exclusive rights!

I did check my Hot Wheels and Greenlight '10 Camaro packages last night. They both mention that they are officially licensed by GM to use the trademark, logo, name, etc., but neither has any mention of Jada for approval or anything. I would assume that Mattel/Hot Wheels had to jump through the same hoops as Greenlight did.

i was going to pick one of these up for a friend as a birthday gift...

they can't afford a real one for some time, so i figured i'd have it painted RJT for them.

i'm assuming RJT is victory red with a special tinted clear? or is their a specific paint i can buy and do it myself?

I think the rjt looks more "candy apple" to me - looks darker then the victory red on the cars I've seen.

I'm waiting till these are at Wal-mart, then buying 2 for what it cost to buy one online and pay shipping.

*Edit*. I saw a 1:32 scale 2010 SS at Target the other day and it was the RJTish color they had on the concept die-casts. I would bet the "Red" that's available in more of a RJT than VR.
