BORLA CATBACK ATAK SYSTEM
Hey, guys im new to this forum and hopeing you could help me out.
I was thinking of getting the borla atak system for my 2011 ss camaro but i drive the car all the time so i was not sure if it would be to loud for an everyday car. I know that they also have the touring and S type systems that might be softer in pitch. If anyone has any of these systems it would be great to know what you think about them also could you tell how much you drive the car whether it be all the time or just on the weekends. THANKS! |

I had an atak installed on mine, sounds awesome! Only loud when you really hammer on it

I have the sport and love the sound. It is significantly louder but mostly at startup and when i floor it. Getting headers and high flow cats installed next week and cant wait to hear the difference. Should sound much better then.

I assume that you cant have cats at all with long tube headers, so you are getting shorty headers? Do they provide power gains at all? |

Have the Borla Sport Catback on a 2011 SS
To me it's perfect. This is my daily driver and I think Atak would have been too loud. On road trips, even the Sport gets a little annoying if you are trying to listen to a ball game or something. Around town, however it's great.
I had some service work down on my car at the dealer yesterday and when I picked up the car, I heard it start up two floors up and just smiled. One more thing. The service guy that installed the Borla for me said it was the easiest catback install he'd ever done. |

Kooks 1 7/8 Long Tubes with Kooks High Flow cats. A Tune is required for long tubes especially with cats. I am getting the car tuned on the dyno.

Do you have a pic of this setup? I was under the impression you cant have cats with long tube headers..
And where did you buy this setup from, links! :-D |

Who the hell told you, you couldn't have cats with LTs? Most people on this forum have Hi-flow cats with LTs. I will be buying Kooks LTs with hi-flow cats after christmas. Shorty headers are almost useless. With a proper tune you could pull a good 20-30+ hp with the LTs.

I have the S-Type Cat back on mine. Love it, but my car is a weekender and I am wanting to go more aggressive. I am selling my axle back S-Type exhaust right now. Only has about 20 miles on it, I'm not driving the car right now because I have some rims coming in. If you are interested in the S-Tye axle back let me know

Obviously it needs the actual cats as well, where can I get those? EDIT.. Clicking the NEXT >> on the image shows the cats.. lol. The catback exhaust by borla fits with these just fine then? or do I need anything extra. I know the diameter is fine, I mean length. |
