Wheel Options...

I asked about the wheels at the dealership today, and was told that the 56H 5 spoke black wheels are $2,850 (car on the lot has them). I was also told that this price is on top of the original wheels, but I don't get the original wheels. The options section of Chevy.ca shows these wheels as a $330 option.

Am I supposed to get both sets of wheels?

TIA.

Maybe in Canada, but I suspect your dealer is screwing you. LPO options are dealer installed. You own the take-offs...

That's what I thought. The MSRP includes the originals. LPO's are extra.

Get the no extra cost wheels then go down to the wheel section on these forums and order you a set of the 2017 LE wheels by MRR, much nicer

The 56H wheels are the gloss black wheels not the matte black wheels. I'm guessing you're in Canada as those $330 wheels are $200 here. However since those 56H wheels are an LPO you are supposed to keep the factory ones.

Yes, it has been covered a couple times. If you get the $3000 wheels, you get the factory wheels and the new Black split spokes.
Some dealers try and keep the original wheels.
LPO items stay with the car. You paid for them.

I went with the Grey Splits for $330. Sweet wheels.
You could get those and have them painted any colour you wanted and save Thousands.

I agree with the other statement, Save the cash and head over to MRR. They have a number of Wheels specifically made for the Camaro and will still cost less.

You're confusing the 56V and the 56H wheels. The 56V wheels are the ones you have pictured in your original post for $330. They are not an LPO option and ship with the car so you do not get the extra set of "stock" wheels. As others have said, the 56H wheels are LPOs and cost $2300. They are black with red trim. You will get both sets of wheels if you order these.

I asked about this when I was ordering mine, as I wanted the black with red trim set. My dealer said that GM requires that the dealer send back the old rims. I told them that I would just order them afterwards from a GM supplier who has them listed at 375 each compared to 500 retail (USD). I also told them that since I was paying for 2 sets and only getting 1 that it was a complete rip off.

It is also amusing to see how many cars on the lot have these rims and when you walk in to the parts department, you can see the OEM set sitting on the floor for sale.
