Supplier prices are listed right on the invoices for the vehicles when they are manufactured. There is no waiting for them to come out. The only waiting might involve the dealership being willing to sell the car for that price when they are in such high demand. The only problem might be if they need to get the car from another ldealership. They get an incentive from the manufatcurer to sell a vehicle at the supplier price, but can only get it for vehicles in their inventory. I think that includes vehicles they have to order too.

I'd love to do that... I just looked it up and it's a 9 1/2 hour drive from my house.

If you check out the Areial View of the map, it's really hard to miss.

I didn't think it would be as close as it was. It looks like I wasn't too far away from it when I visited Niagara Falls last year.

i was actually up in canada in 01 and drove by the plant and i wanted to do a tour but i called and they didnt do them like vette does. i was disapointed. i really hope i could do something like that though. i would love to fly out there or drive up and stay the night and watch them put it together.
my dad was telling me about a guy he knows who bought a new vette. he called the plant and they let him watch the car be built and actually let him put a few bolts on the car!! now how sweet would that be?

I work in that plant. I will be building the new Camaro. We dont tour anyone in the plants unless its on a tour day, which is comparable to when pigs fly.

Trust me after a week i wont care what i am building, i will just want to go home lol You get that mentality when you work 8 hours a day 5 to 6 days a week and management always changing the rules without telling you. Good thing my family that works there is in the union

If you ever came up here, i could take you for a tour of the outside and show you what everything is. Its a huge complex.

Ok well I read a lot and some are right and some are not.

Supplier Price it is very close to Invoice and an excellent price if you are capable of negotiating to that level.

If you are eligible for Supplier Price and GM has not restricted the vehicle from selling at that price and the dealer is willing to sell it at that price, then you can purchase it for that price. You do not and I repeat do not have to buy from dealer stock. Once the Dealers trades another for a vehicle it becomes Dealer Stock.

Trading a vehicle does involve cost, they actually pay people to drive the vehicles to and from the other Dealer. If it's the car you want it's worth the added cost.

Ordered Vehicle for no less than MSRP, again it depends entirely upon the deal you are able to negoitiate. You should be able to get the car you want at a fair price. I shoot for Invoice, which can be found at Carsdirect.com does'nt mean I'll get it. The Dealer does make money at Invoice and an Ordered Car is a quick turn and really never goes in to inventory

Just like everything else in our economy price is driven by demand. I foresee demand for these vehicles, but if you are patient you can pay less than MSRP.

Dealers that don't fully understand what their selling have a difficult time differentiating between a Camaro and a Malibu. Since most of us do it gives us the upper hand.

20 minutes away for me! Definitely a huge complex - I was there when the official announcement was made that the car would be built in Oshawa! Got the T-shirt to prove it! I think Moose managed to get a couple of those shirts for himself as well!

Best regardSS,
