I'm just curious..... are the fixes permanent, or do the same or new issues crop up with the replaced tops? Seems like the design is needing improvement.

From what I have seen and heard, Nobody has had their top fixed or replaced without additional problems. Had mine replaced after 6 weeks of ownership on 9/29. Buy 10/13 it was back in the shop due to new rub marks, wind noise, water leaks, and the top bowed out behind the rear windows. I now regret getting it fixed the first time.

Seems like GM did bandaid fixes without verifying what would happen when the fix was implemented by dealers and trim shops that were not familiar with the top replacement. For my car the top replacement just brought out other issues in the water management system.

I'm lucky so far - I have only had the top cycled a few times now, but can't see any sign of rub marks yet. I do have a loose spot on the driver's side, but don't want to take it in just for that yet. I love this car!

I had the same sag. Next time your into the dealership they can adjust the cables underneath and get rid of that. Worked for me !

From a non Vert owner, I dropped in to see what the desired outcome of the post was...I think he was trying to turn the feelings of depression to happy thoughts...instead, I have become depressed by reading some of the comments. Chevy knows how to make convertibles....I hope they eventually turn every thought about your Camaro convertible to smiles.

Mine just started having that same issue - thanks for posting the pic! Time for a trip to the dealer......hopefully nothing else will get fouled up.

And I've seen it mentioned here that the use of the tonneau cover is causing problems with the top - does anbody know which year tonneau covers & in what manner were they causing top problems? thanks...

I don't know about the tonneau causing the problem. I know people without the tonneau that have the same problem. The issue for the rubbing is in the mechanics not the tonneau. There is a thread that goes through the problem in pictures showing where the rubbing is when the top is put down.
I have been using my tonneau since the top has been replaced and have not had any rubbing issues. Now if they could just fix the water management system

I have owned Corvettes since 1994,I just sold a 2009 vert...Even with all the problems that I have read about the top,I still wanted one.I bought a 2011Black with Grey interior Vert with Silver strips on New Years Eve. I will be picking up the car tommorow..and I can't wait..Hopefully mine will be trouble free or if not Chevy will hopefully fix the problem soon. I just couldn't pass up the deal that I recieved.
