2017 2SS value
I have a HB 2SS A8 fully loaded. MRC, dual exhaust, sunroof. Bought in March 2017. Now have 5400 miles on it. The price I paid was $44,000. Was looking at trading in on a ZL1. I went to KBB and it said the car valued at $34,000 to $37, 940. The dealership I saw a ZL1 at quoted me $28,000 for my car due to "Market Saturation." Can you believe that!!! I told him that I would take $37,500 for my car and of course his words were that they cant do that. I guess they don't want to make a deal.

i am/was doing the same thing. i have a similar optioned car with M6 and was in the 34000 to 38000 range on kbb and was offered the least amount at 34000. there is a point where a trade is beneficial for me for tax purposes but 34k isnt it.

Try other dealers. I just got $22k for my 2010 2SS on trade towards a new 18 1SS 1LE. Now I doubt you'll get $37,500 but $33k-$34k should be very doable. |

Shop around. I scowled 4 dealerships for my 16 mo old 2lt, loaded, and got a range of six grand difference from highest offer to lowest. Only one was worth me making a move on to trade up to that perfect 2SS. And I got a competent service department to boot.

Nada should give you a more real value, don’t know many dealers that use KBB. I think there is something to the market saturation though, prices seem headed down on 5th and 6th.

If market saturation is real, it's affects the new ones on their lots too.
Tell them you can't pay that much for the Z due to market saturation. Seriously, shop by email.

This was what I was thinking as well. The market should be saturated on the ZL1 as well, but it's just dealerships way of ripping you off. Guy told me that their computer was down or something and they couldn't get a value and then $28000 is what he quoted. I was like how did you come up with that number if the computer is down...lol...Then he said he would call back with an updated number. He called back 2 days later and gave me the same appraised value.

Dealers are in the business of making money , my advice take the 30 grand markup between the two vehicles ( spend 1/3 of that ) an put a blower and good brakes on your 2SS. Then youll still have 20 grand leftover and a sleeper to boot |
