Boost Math reading wrong

Posted this on HPTuners, but its kinda slow over there.
I know I'm running about 10psi, but my scanner only shows 2. i'm using the built in Boost Math parameter to read boost.

This is on the stock MAP sensor.

What am I doing wrong?

You need a 3 bar map sensor from a ZL1. Stock SS is only 1 bar.

And change setting in your tune to go with the MAP sensor.

Thanks guys. Its misleading that the stock map is 1bar, you’d think it could read up to 14psi, but apparently 2.2psi is the max. Turns out Howard tuned my car on maf only so it doesnt really matter.

Ted, im gonna shoot you a pm later regarding your fpcm. Fuel pressure is dropping at redline to 48psi. My injector DC is only 55% and it doesnt go lean, but its concerning. Wonder if the zl1 fpcm is the answer for me...

14.7 psi is our atmospheric pressure at sea level.

The 1 bar map sensor just so happens can read up to 16.9 psi or 2.2 boost.

The MAF tuning will remain exactly the same.

Go to Howard, buy and install the map sensor and have him update your tune, you will then be able to read boost through your OBDII port.

Our FPCM will correct that pressure for you, the tune will also need to be updated for that as well, I will provide Howard with the data.

Ted.

I think I'll be able to handle the tune portion of changing the map sensor scale. Thanks to the fellas on hptuners forum I got the part number for the LS9 MAP sensor, and I'll just grab a ZR1 tune file and take what I need from there.

thanks for the help Ted.

Undecided on fpcm. I want to run E85 but dont think zl1 stuff will cut it.

Good deal on the MAP.

No sir it won't handle E-85, I would recommend a Fore innovations return system and ID-1050X injectors.
