Throttle Body Bypass

I understand that the TB Bypass allows colder air to get in the engine, but would this be a smart mod to do if you live somewhere that the temp is pretty cold in the morning?

I've heard of people doing this in Canada with no problems... you can always undo it if it does become a problem.

I've done it on my car.

all the t/b coolant line really does is help a little on cold starts. ive got a few friends on other forums who have done it who live in the northern states, canadia, iceland, england etc.

the downside is that it will continuously send hot coolant thru your t/b after you are up and running there by increasing the intake air temp, decreasing performance.

kinda like a thermostat. its real purpose was to keep the engine warm, not to keep it cool
