Question...does it make a difference if you run the car without turning off everything...i.e., traction control, stability control, etc?

I ran mine last week and got my best time so far but forgot to turn anything off!!

I'm sure it helped with traction out of the hole as I pulled a solid 2.0 60ft time...on stockers at 36psi!

What is everyone's expereince...run faster with everything off or just go and run the car "as is"...not adusting the tire pressure, leaving everything on, etc, etc, etc?

Thanks!

I have a bunch of timeslips where I noted the different settings and did not show any difference... all on... half on... or all off....

But then I don't have a blower either... Seems Traction Contol would help w/ that.

Come on down this Saturday (link in my sig) and we'll give it another run...

What do you think it will do through the 1/4 mile

Guys/Galls,
It sounds like there are some experienced 1/4 milers on this thread. Just wanted to get a best guess as to what you all think my car can do through the 1/4.
2010 Cyber grey Camaro SS (LS3)
Upgrades:
Procharger S/C (8 lbs. boost) as per dyno
Aquamist meth. injection
American racing LT headers with mids
Magnaflow axle back
Mcleod RXT twin disc clutch
Richmond gears (410's)
Meziere electric water pump
MTI short throw shifter
KW variant 3 coilover suspension
Hotchkis anti-sway bars
Last dyno results:
582.5 rwhp / 518.4 rwtq.

Please respond with your best guess at the 1/4 mile. I have a date with my tuner to go to the track next month to actually run it. I'll post the results.

With stock rear tires id hate to even guess a time , because its not going to hook! With Drag radials and comparing it to some of the other cars with similar mods on the Fast list. Id say somewhere around low 11s. The only way to find out for sure is to take it to the track! (With some D.R.s of course)

Stock tires and a manual will be tuff to run a really good time.

I've seen some really high HP cars (stock tires) only run around 12 flat, but with trap speeds well over 120mph.

Like SGO was stating you can have all the power in the world but if it wont hook it wont really matter for a good run! Youve got a hell of a build going but your missing link is tires , if your wanting some good E.T.s.

Using a 20" rim your selection of Drag radials is pretty limited compared to an 18". Nitto has 2 a NT555R 305/35-20 which is better suited for a stock rim width , and the NT05R which is the better Drag tire but is 315/35R-20. Being that wide would require the rim to be widened or it will cup in the center. Im sure people have ran this tire on a stock rim of 9"s but that tire requires 10.5"-11"s.

I just ran mine for the first time this past Sunday. I ran it in the comp mode because I was running in a bracket with other cars. If you are just running it for fun try with and without. For beginners the comp mode makes launching a lot easier. I will go back to the track soon and practice different techniques so I can get better

I just ran my car for the fast time. I ran 3 times 13.86@106.41/13.77@106.29/13.60@107.90. My R/T were .661/.511/.673. Compare to the other I raced my times are very slow. Next time I race should I try leaving the line when the last yellow light is lit? I was waiting until I saw the Green light because I didn't want to red light. What is a good R/T time?

Also why to I see others that have slower MPH's in the 1/4 but faster times then mine? Does the DA have something to so with it?
