Leaning to put the new solo HFC's with the resonators on the wifes LFX.. can I delete the mufflers or will I need J pipes to stop drone? Sound being loud is not a concern..

According to solo the new pipes for the LFX with resonators are to eliminate any drone. So I think I may not need anything after the solo pipes but straight pipe?

Truth be told I'm the lucky one! She puts up with me..lol.
She bought the car from a friend of ours who was trading it in for a new truck so she got a great deal. The prior owner had the hand painted pinstripes put on at a car show he was at.. so when she bought it we changed the badges and I did the bow ties to go better with the stripes. Car is fully loaded with every option and had 19k on it.

I'm in hopes that those new solos for the LFX will give it some growl though..one of our neighbors is a little old lady and she said that car is beautiful but why is it so quiet. We told her she must of lost her hearing lol. She's a funny old bird.. even drinks a glass of wine on a hot summer day.

You'll probibly want the resonated magnaflow xpipe if you want to go muffler delete. Definitely ditch those stock suitcases mufflers. Even with xpipe, the muffler delete can be a little raspy and slightly droney, but it will definaitly be louder. The solos with the resonators may help with the drone/rasp issue as most people get the hfc's without the resonators. You could try it out, the solos, xpipe, delete and if it's to dronish/raspy add the j pipes.

i never had drone with my axle back system. i added the solos to it and the tone got a little louder and deeper. zero drone. i wouldn't straight pipe though, it won't sound good. you can pair any muffler system with the solo's and you will have a nice sounding car no matter what.

If you are not in a big hurry wait and come to CamaroFest7 in July. Than you'll get to hear many types of V6 exhaust and you'll know what sound you would really care for. Plus you get meet a lot of the members here.

I had Solo HFC's with the Magnaflow Rez X pipe. Still a little drone. J Pipes should take care of it.

Now I am running catless with the X pipe and NPP exhaust. LOVE it. But my drone is right where I cruise at due to my gearing....my own fault.

Thinking the new solo LFX hfc w/ resonators, then at tail end solo j pipes in place of the mufflers. Should sound killer and have no issues with rasp or drone. Adding a cold Air Inductions air intake too.. gonna be a big invoice ..Lol. I hope one of the vendors here will hook us up on this order! Oh lord one car to mod is expensive, but 2 now is getting out of control..Hahahaha

The Wifes new Solo HFC w/ resonators just arrived

Ill do a video for you guys as factory, then after the new HFC are put on. Going to leave stock from cats back and see how she sounds before next and going cat back system. Solo says it will wake the car up but its a very hard car to get to sound like a old American muscle car. Keep in mind her car is a convertible, so stock may be even quieter than the stock v6 hard top coupe. We hope it gives her car a voice when I get these on the car
