2013 vs 2014 v6, .5 seconds?
On chevy.com they say the 2013 does 0-60 in 6.4. The 2014 is rated at 5.9. Is that not all its cracked up to be or would it be awsome to have the new setup?
Feeling depressed. How can I make my 2013 6.0 flat? Looking at injen cai but that may not get me quite there... D cai's hinder power for short cold drives, say back and forth to work in the winter? |

Are you sure you aren't looking at the 2013 2LS 0-60? Fairly certain that the 1/2LT is still 5.9. The 2LS is 6.4 because of it's 2.92 gears, where as the LT cars are 5.9 because of the 3.27 gears. Pretty sure nothing has changed, you should be good to go as long as you don't have a 2LS

Have to agree with RacnJsn.
No way the 0 - 60 time has increased in the 2014 models versus the 2013 or prior models.

Look on page 15 of the 2014 brochure:
2LS: 0-60 6.4 seconds 1LS & LT's: 0-60 5.9 seconds No change from previous years.

Using the paddles will show the gear no matter if in D or M, but if in D it goes back to showing D after a few seconds (10 maybe?), whereas if in M it will continue to show the gear after you use the paddles once.

You can switch over to 3.55 gears or yes you can get the SS setup. The SS setup will set you back at least 1000 dollars if you can do the work yourself. If you have to pay labor you're going to be looking in the 1500 dollar range.

Either way, you go, you're probably only saving a couple hundred bucks IF any savings at all by swapping to 3.55's vs swapping in a whole SS rear end. |

i have a 2 LT. i earlier wondered why it was rated at 28 i hwy but LS was 30. i guess becuase of marketing reasons, too. you gotta read the fine print. i finally noticed that the gears are different in the 2LS verses the LT, same engine, but the 2.92 gears thus higher mileage over the 3.27 gears, which i think the auto SS is too.
