Rear seats won't latch
Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I get errors when I try to do a forum search..
Anyways, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the rear seats to latch into place. It's been like this since I bought the car a couple years ago and I figured I'd ask here before I took it somewhere to have it looked at. If I have to make a sudden stop, the seats fly forward and if I go over any rough roads it makes a noticeable rattling sound. Not a huge deal, but both are rather annoying. I'm hoping it's something easy and I'm just stupid. lol The rear seats are supposed to lock firmly into place, right?

I think they are friction fit and no latches. I could be wrong since I've pulled them down once and pushed them back into place.

They should have a latch. Are you just talking about the seat backs? If you're talking about the entire seat, I have no clue, but the backs latch. Sometimes the seat belts get in the way or get behind them. Make sure both are in front of the seat when pushing back and try pushing a little harder maybe

Yeah I'm talking about the seat backs. I made sure both seat belts were out of the way, but it still won't latch regardless of what amount of force I use.

Did you make sure there is nothing in the latch mechanism?

Have you tried pulling on the latch mechanism strap on top of the seats? It may be stuck in the open position.
