Jack stand locations

So I've been putting the jack stands under the front cradle but was curious if this was a good spot or not. It seems solid but my OCD is kicking in. I circled the location in the pic. Thanks.

I lift a little closer to mounting bolt. I figure if it's strong enough to hang the front end off of, it should be strong enough to jack from. Plus, it makes it easier to get the tire in and out.

GM specifies to use the torque box locations. Those are on the body a little further back from the subframe, just outside of the frame rail.

Do not use that front floor jack point. It will bend the center section of the cradle. Ask me how I know.

Learned from some guys here that a good point to put your jack stands is at the mounting bolt directly to the right of your red circle.
Its semi-boxed in and fits the top of the stand perfectly with no chance of sliding or moving out of position.

It was also said here that you should never use the front crossmembers with your floor jack. They are not stout enough.

I got the bolt-on jack pads from ZL1 Addons.
Using those spots for the floor jack and placing the stands at the bolts I mentioned get you enough room to wiggle around under there without the stands getting in your way.

Wow you are right! I looked under the car and can see that spot slightly bowed in now. I'll start using the recommended locations but I wonder if this will throw my alignment off from the cradle being tweaked?

I don't trust jack stands. I made a set of these. This is not my car, just a picture from Internet.
