all of the bronze bushing kits seems to be very similar in design except for the CHE...Powell, Straub and others use a thicker bronze bearing...either design obviously works well and is better than stock IMHO...CHE costs more $$$ for ? not knocking them but I like my hard earn cash and can use what I save for more go fast parts!

So "caged bearings" are a bust....binding issues? Thanks for the heads up! Getting ready to order a GPI VVT Stage 1 cam kit & would hate to have a failure because of crappy bearings. Just looked at the Powell Cam's kit...looks pretty stout. Much appreciated!

welcome all...helpin peeps out is part of the fun...the caged bearing trunnion kit is a basic upgrade to stock at least usin spring clips instead of the bearing cups being pressed in...the only thing the bronze bearing will do is wear..and as a plus the valve train quiets down quit a bit to0...

when you do the Powell trunnions, if the rocker feels tight or binding just press which ever side is out the most in a scoshe(critical measurement used in automotive machine work!)..problem solved!

and read up/understand how to measure P/R length...good luck!

Must of been reading my mind....have the cam & springs picked out, but was unsure about push rod length. Will have to do a thread search & research. Zero'd in on the suspension upgrades (recently acquired a set of 1le struts & shocks as well as Spohn trailing arms & toe links, LG Motorsports strut tower brace, Hotchkis springs, chassis brace, & rear sway bar-just need a 1le front sway bar & upgraded LCA's to complete setup. Upgraded the brakes with Power Stop Street Warrior Z-26 rotors & pads, along with Goodridge stainless steel brake lines) but still working on the engine. Basically looking to put 500hp & as much torque possible to the rear wheels. So far, I've added JBA "shorty" headers, AEM CAI, ADM intake scoop, Jet Performance throttle body, C.H.E. high-flow fuel rails w/pressure gauge , Granatelli CAI calibrated MAF, Power Bond 25% underdrive balancer, McNally catch can, Borla rear exhaust setup, & SCT-X4 93 octane "canned" tune. Looking to install GPI VVT Stage 1 kit w/DOD delete, Powell Cams or C.H.E. trunnion upgrade, GPI fully ported w/rod mod intake manifold, ZL1 fuel pump, 52 lb injectors, Taylor wires, Magnaflow X-pipe, & professional tune. Also, just purchased a set of 3.70 gears & JBA "off-road" mid-pipes. Now I just need to get a complete set of poly bushings to finish it. It's going to be a long winter installing everything, but worth it after that groundhog appears & spring is here!!!

Can't thank the input so far enough. I feel I really have somewhere else to look for what I need. I want to do it right the first time.
