where to find z/28 headers in 2023

hey folks, i’m looking for a better exhaust header set with high flow cats for the z/28.
i read a lot about kooks and ach… but it seems like they are hard to find and many posts in this forum about it are quite old.
any advice on where to find good high quality headers for z/28 in 2023?
are you selling some?

Any 5th gen Camaro V8 headers will work, unless your tracking the car 1-7/8 is probably the best choice.

I believe SS Headers will bolt on but the Ports are slightly different, Will it matter maybe not I guess depends if you are trying to get every last bit of power out of the car. As far as clearance and matching up with the Stock Z/28 exhaust I am not sure. I would look around and try to find a Set of ARH which seem to be pretty popular for the Z/28.

i am using the car on track only, also, the LS7 headers don't have the same clearance of the LS3 ones, so I doubt that any header for LS3 will fit on the Z/28.

anyway, I won't gamble with SS headers, I want a z/28 specific one. Any shop you would recommend to buy from?

The Z/28 already has a very good set of unique high flowing exhaust manifolds so if you're going to upgrade ARH or Kooks are the only ones worth the effort to obtain IMO. If I ever do heads, cam and exhaust those two brands are the only ones I'll consider. Track only? Delete those cats so you don't duplicate the unfortunate engine damage that fellow member Docwra experienced.

I'm curious, why do you only suggest ARH and Kooks. I understand they are well built but there are other companies out there that make great headers as well. These headers are usually twice as much or more than brands like TSP.

Those two companies are the only companies that make headers for a Z/28 specifically. TSP and all others do not. SS and ZL1 does not fit our cars.

Take suggestions from other Z owners it will save you a lot of headaches later.
ARH, Kooks, are made for Z/28. You can go with TSP but clearance will be issue. I have Kooks it’s the middle on the price range. Good luck.

You can buy them right on the Kooks website. That's what I did. IMO it's a waste of time to do headers AND keep the cats. The cats are a bigger restriction. I run the 2" headers and no cats.

Here's my install thread:
