Thanks for this tip, it worked out great!

I ran Cresson 3.1 over the weekend & swapped over to the "track deflectors". No issues and they do scoop up a lot of air. I had bugs splattered across the bottom inch!

Thought I’d bump this thread with my interpretation of what Geoff did:

Great for weight reduction, more caster, and easy brake cooling!

I already have that on the car ;o)

Did that when I installed the arms, just didn’t show it...

(Pic for reference -- these have been on a while ;o)

Checked it again after alignment just to be sure

Probably by a rather small amount, though I don't think it's by as much as with a caster setting change. When you shorten the tierods to bring the toe back in, you're changing the tierod arc by a very small amount, and the camber change moves the front view instant center slightly. For zero geometric bumpsteer, you want a construction line along the tierod axis to pass through the FVIC. This isn't possible for all ride heights, so bumpsteer correction efforts are more about keeping the tierod inclination close to passing through the FVIC as an overall average.

Norm hit it.

Thanks Norm! I've always defined it as travel zone vs Front View Instant Center ;o)

Geoff, that is why I have the gauge so I can ck things. I'll be double checking it again soon to verify now that I have miles on things...

When I change ride height I do ck my bumpsteer - on camber change I don’t. Since caster is static, I ck it when I change rods. If I have camber plates that change both camber and caster then yes, I would recheck bumpsteer.

Racing is a never ending cost ;o). The tool is not too badly priced.

I also have an extra set of bumpsteer rod ends — just in case I need them :o)

Has anyone purchased the 6th gen track deflector recently? I am unable to locate pn 84145205. I tried thatgmpartsguy.com, gmpartsdirect.com, and Chevrolet accessories.

Thanks in advance
