True Trac LSD and rear cradle bushings
Next week I'm having an Eaton True-Trac LSD and BMR rear cradle bushings installed on my auto. Do you know how much of a difference this install will make on my reaction time? I'm assuming it will launch out of the hole quicker.

It might help your 60' but reaction time is all you.

Not entirely,...that play however minimal can play a part in breaking that beam... not so much a factor on an auto where your loading the suspension slightly. The faster the car reacts the more accurate you can be

Not enough to notice would be my guess.

You wont get any quicker throttle response from the True-Trac or the bushings.
The True Trac will allow you to do more consistent burnouts, and will allow the car to launch dead straight every time. The bushings will stiffen up the differential to avoid excessive movement, the car will feel much stiffer during normal driving, and you'll also hear more noise from the rear end. Since your gutting the differential to put a True-Trac in, why not swap to a 3.91 gear while it's apart? You will pick up 1 to 1.5 tenths in ET. The only mod I've done that improved the throttle response was the Bo White Stage II throttle body, instead of leaving just before the 3rd yellow, I now leave at the 3rd yellow for same RT.

Thanks all. I didn't think the RT would change much at all, but wasn't sure. I was looking for more consistency, stability, strength, equal traction on burnouts etc...etc...
Joe, I'm hoping next year to do the 3.91 gears and a updated Dyno Tune. With everything going on with the pandemic the wife set limits. |

But your going to pay a lot more next year than you would if you do it now, while the pumpkin is already removed and taken apart. The AAM gear is less than $300. The extra labor to install the gear now shouldn't be very much at all, maybe an additional 30 minutes - 1 hour for setting the backlash and checking the pattern If you wait until next year, your going to have to also get a new set of bearings, and shims. The labor cost will be a lot more, probably around $500 plus. So pay $350 to $400 now, or $800+ next year.
