Cheapest Exhaust For 2014 Camaro RS

Hello, I’m new here and a new camaro owner. I got a great deal on a 2014 RS V6 and I love it. However, I’d like it to have a little more of a roar when I gun it. I was going to buy the MBRP S7021AL Exhaust System, which is an axle back muffler delete. Apparently this is illegal and won’t pass inspection in Missouri, where I live so that’s out of the question. The price was around $250 and I’m going to have Midas install whatever I get. I’d like to keep the price range below $400 if possible. I want something that will give a loud, raspy, roar when I gun it. Please let me know any recommendations you guys have for me. I’m going up to Midas this Saturday to speak with the manager on options and ideas he has but I’m sure he’ll be thinking of the expensive ones. Thanks!

I was going to go with the MRT v1 at first but ended up settling for a muffler delete. I'll be running NPP mufflers next month that I bought off another camaro owner as I like the quad tip look.

Magnaflow 11386 X muffler in place of the stock H pipe and resonators. MRT v1 and 2 are both highly rated options. I don't know how a muffler delete wouldn't pass an emissions test though, as that would be my first recommendation with the 11386.

I did the Magnaflow muffler in place of the H-pipe and removed the two stock mufflers. It sounds awesome, IMHO. I did the install in a friend's garage, so only the cost for me was the $100 muffler and $20 for some shop to bend the pipes for me that replaced the two mufflers. You can show a shop the instructions on this page to get a quote...

Actually on topic, if you really need mufflers you could try to get a pair of LS3 SS mufflers. They look stock but are much louder than the V6 mufflers.

I found this vid a few years ago. Imo it doesn't sound to bad and is 100% legal....and cheap. I think the ls3 exhaust would be better because of the smaller resonators.

I have LS3 mufflers, taken off at 18K miles. I am in CA and shipping wouldn't be cheap...

SS mufflers and the Magnaflow 11386 res x would be similar in sound to a muffler delete. Not a bad deal. Lol.

Another vote for Magnaflow muffler. It is loud but not obnoxiously loud. Got mine at 4wheelonline.

I'm running a resonated x pipe with a muffler delete. I have custom J pipes made that cancel the booming resonation from 2k-3K RPM.

You could take a picture of how it looks. I also need to get rid of the resonance effect. I have Magnaflow bullets and x pipe.
