back in the middle of 2009, when the cars first came out. there was a TSB issued (PI0055B) that dealt with PDIM issues.....and if you go back far enough in this thread, its all covered. A pervious Chevrolet Service Rep that was dealing with this issue for us got us THE answer. I was one of those people in the beginning. I ended up going to the dealer near me and it was NOT the dealer where I bought my car, as this was a warrantee issue, U brought in the TSB with me, and the new PDIM was ordered and was installed, that was about 2 1/2 years ago and have had no issues since.

I have attached the TSB, which has the new PDIM P/N you need on the top of it. IF your car isn't under warrantee, just buy the PDIM yourself and change them out. its a total P-N-P update, there is NO reprogramming at all to do, just swap them out and you are good to go. The PDIM in in the console, just in front of the arm rest.

if you have a current valid bumper to bumper warranty......use it. its covered

just be sure to print out the TSB and ensure the dealer orders and installs the P/N that is listed on the top. if they don't and install something different, you WILL NOT get the latest/greatest HW/SW versions. This has happened to folks here and their dealers give them a load of crap and never do get the proper HW/SW version.

Got latest update

I got the latest update and if fixed my problem with audiobooks and podcasts starting up at unintelligible speed after the car being stopped and restarted, even if the iPod was disconnected. However, it still takes way too long to index and they didn't put a soft pause button on the screen to replace the hard one they replaced with the NAV button when you buy the Navigation package. Being a IT tester for years I can't believe they let this out. Where are the usability folks? Did they never give the usability testers a car with the Nav package???

sorry didnt finish before i accidentally posted...
...cont...my dealer was very reluctant towards helping me and acted like it the first time they even heard of the device, very suprising considering they are one of the top dealers in GA. However if its something i can do on my own im sure i could do so just dont want to screwup mywarranty or car.

Same here headgamez - DB/DB and always have issues with DRM, static, freezing up, blank screen etc.

Did you buy a PDIM that had DB/DD on it or get upgraded?
