Camaro vs. BMW M4

Gotta spend over $31k more for a BMW to almost match an SS camaro performance.

It was a nice comparison to see. I read it back when it first came out. The Alpha platform, LT1, and TR6060 make for a great driver’s sports car. Moral victories are nice, but actual wins in a comparo, against a much pricier BMW, is great.

That is an old last gen M4, that current gen with the S58 is a force to reckon with.

Drat, I was hoping this was something recent. Cue Barbra Streisand to sing "The Way We Were". It's a shame the sissies have transformed GM into gm. The Gen 6s will go down as the last of the cool Camaros. Out with not a bang but a whimper.

That's the comparison I was looking for! When I wanted to buy my 2019, dealer stocks were really low and I couldn't find a 2SS Convertible with the options I wanted. I did a lot of research on the new M4, but it wasn't quite to market yet, or I'd have one in the garage.

GM is just another sheep being herded down the battery powered path. Wait til a few hundred more stories make the news that a used electric car will need a battery that costs more than the price/value of the used car. Dealerships wont be able to give them away.

Imagine if they had used a 1LE instead of an SS.

Yea, there's no way the SS can hang with it, especially the AWD auto. 0-60 in 2.8 and 11.0 flat 1/4

Your ZL1 costs significantly less than than the M4 Competition model and will beat it in many performance aspects.

Having said that, the standard M4 performance has been bumped up past a naturally aspirated V8 Camaro.

They make an M4 vert?

What I really like about my ZL1 is it a vert, m6, high HP.

What is the next car that meets those specs in this $ range?

I don't believe they do, but convertible or not a ZL1 will outperform a new M4 in almost every aspect and will outperform a new M4 Comp in some as well. IMHO the ZL1 is a much better deal.
