I would pay Chevrolet or someone, for a reproduction build sheet and COA. I plan to sell my car when its worth a bazillion dollars, (so ill be waiting forever).

The Chevrolet District sales manager told me that the certificate of authenticity will come to me in 30+ days.

No build sheet for mine either. That's the problem buying a special car from a small chevy dealer who doesnt understand that buyers for this car want all the paperwork and dont make any distinction between this and a Malibu.

I got duplicates of the build sheet and window sticker for my '06 Z06 from the National Corvette Museum. It's worth contacting Chevy and see if they would be willing to send a duplicate.

The main build sheet is taped to the bag that contains the floor mats, owner's manual and other items. There are others inside the car though. Usually one inside each door panel bin. I always grab them from the cars when they arrive from the transport and stick them in the glove box.

As Gearheadss pointed out taped to the bag.

There were a couple of other sheets, one in each door pouch.

I also grabbed all the tags and plastic covers. The PDI crew had already start tossing everything.

I'll see if I can get a pic of everything later today. I packed it all up in a box.

No build sheet, and it sort of pisses me off. It's not a Spark or Sonic..
