How does she sound?
I just recently went and saw the new transformers movie and personnaly that camaro was the best part of that movie... along with megan fox but thats a diff story..
I was curious on a scale to 1-10 how beastly does your camaro sound?? did GM do a good job with the exhaust? or did they go to far with makin it a "comfortable" ride?? I assume it doesn't sound like BumbleBee by any means.. But whata ya'll think?? |

They have to make it quiet.
Can't make everyone happy. If you want loud exhaust you have to mod it. |

They did a lot of work tuning the exhaust note. Look in the video subforum for examples.
Both sound good. Just they are quiet because it's a mass market daily driver and that's kinda just how they build cars. Too loud stock can cause all kinds of issues and complaints. |

They sound pretty good when you get the engine going, and it's mad quiet when you don't really want a lot of noise. I like it, but I don't think that engine sounds are ever impressive anymore, unless they're 600HP+ engines or old ones... In a car like this, I like to have the quietness.
P.S. It's loud enough that they don't need a funnel so you can hear it |

Agree. Inside is very quiet; you hear a nice rumble in the background. The good part is that the Levenson stereo is awesome, so its a good tradeoff.

My Loudmouth II exhaust arrived yesterday. Now, only if the car would get here.

I got my car yesterday and let me tell you, it rides like a cadillac with the power of a vette. I was astounded. At a slow rumble its very, very quiet. But when you get on it, it has a very decent rumble to it. I like loud exhaust, so I already have SLP Loudmouth's on order. The stock is nowhere near enough for me. But if you're one of those who doesnt like modded exhaust, the stock should do you just fine.

I'm probably more of an anomaly because I'm coming from a turbocharged 4 cylinder, but I really like the sound. It's got a nice deep rumble and I don't want anything overly loud. You can definitely hear it when you get above idle. 1000 rpms or less is very quiet though. I'm still breaking it in so I haven't pushed it too hard yet. Nothing near redline so I can't speak for the experience of that yet.
That's my 2 cents. |

Id give it an 8, great sound just not loud enough. If funny you mention the TF2 movie, because I have been listening to sound clips over and over & nothing has sounded just right, I've made my wife listen to sound clips over and over again & nothing has sounded just right. Well during the movie she leans over and says "that's what you need to have your sound like". Great, I agree, but who makes it?
