Dart shp lsnxt 427 head recommendations

Head recommendations for a 427 dart shp lsnext block? Car will see twin turbos in the future but right now will stay Na. Looking for a 6 bolt aftermarket head that will match well with a 4.125 bore.

I was looking at the m311 from Frankenstein would I be missing out on future gains by not utilizing the 4.125 bore from the 427 with these heads?

The M311s are a minimum of 4.00" bore... They work well with a 4.125" bore. I have them on my 427 block. NA, the setup makes 660/560, haven't run it with boost yet

I had the same. They make a “boost” version of the m311 now.

My shop knew that someday I may go with a 427 LSX. They convinced me that Brodix was the way to go. Frankenstein is a name brand as well. Brodix has been around a long time and heads is their game. Between the two it probably just boils down to a preference thing for you.

Brodie looks good too I think the m311 heads come with 72cc standard? When I had the motor built I went off my my old prc260s with 68cc and came to a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Would going with the m311 72cc throw my compression out of wack?

Yea, unless you mill them. That would probably drop your compression down too low. I was always told to not give up compression with your piston choice, when you can do it with your head choice. Much easier to change.

For sure Brodix is a great head company. I'd be happy with Mast also. no experience with them tho.
