This is for LLT motors that have blown up not blown motors as in FI.

I may be wrong.
Or was it Mrray?

I think your right with HDRS, I thought his son lost an engine.

MRRAY had to have an oil pan leak fixed.

not sure of my build date but i bought it new in july 2010 as a 2011 and i go through alot of oil. after first and second oil changes i was a no read when i took it in..about 6.5-7 k miles each change. i checked it a week ago after only 4k miles into my change and i already was a no read..i had to add a quart and half to get just mid dipstick.
i drive it kinda hard i guess...not always though and never raced at a track. i called a local dealership and am gonna do an oil consumption test...the service manager said if at 1k im half quart down that he wouldnt be worried and GM wont care..but if say at 800 miles im 3/4 quart down that it is something to be looked into more and after i document it enough times he can talk to GM about it..or something like that

That is typical GM fashion, we have a problem, lets produce more parts.
Google GM dexcool class action and see what I went through with my Bonneville 3800 motors.

Is this possibly a symptom of an oncoming (knock on wood it's not) problem? I've been surprised at how many have the same issue.

As in the fix is still coming? Or as in the fix is the new LFX engine?

Mine was delivered 9/09. 9,000 miles and no unusual noises and it gets driven pretty hard...worries me though.

Hey SixJak, IIRC didn't you have multiple V6s fail on you? Maybe we should have a profile of each of those failure included as well.

Sorry ahead of time if I have it wrong.
