Don't be naive......At his age he isn't gonna learn anything by joining the Corp's. He's obviously a sadistic sociopath.........meaning he takes undue premeditated pleasure in hurting the innocent. To pleasure himself.......Not protecting those who need protecting.......from people exactly like himself. Give him a weapon and he'd shoot someone and claim it was a malfunction. Especially someone whose attentive enough to his nature and personality and figures or smells him out.

He's the sort as he's proven that gets bored with killing the neighbors cat (accidentally), moves on to taping up and stealing another's car, then latter to raping and/or worst murdering another. Cloaking himself is the disguise of the helpful son a good neighbor. You'd have the fox guarding the hen house.......He's a bad apple for which no fix exist....short of the bottom of a six foot hole.

That will follow the kid his whole life. Everyone will know he did that. It's amazing that a 24 year old, in 2013, doesn't know that this is a crime in which he will get caught.

That kid's got a dome full of bad brains.

He's lucky the old dude didn't shoot him, although being known to the victim is the usual story: violate the trust. Who knows what else the kid has done. Like Casper said- I wonder if there's a lot of missing pets in that neighborhood.

Chris you've hit the nail on the head.........exactly "Violate the Trust" and who knows what else the kids done. ( though objectively 23 something isn't exactly a kid). I'm a firm believer that you just don't wake up from being a decent human being the night before and end up criminally minded. Nor void of moral conscience and acting out on impulse......

The perp after all had a previous relationship with his senior neighbor.....from reports it seems amicable. Media's full of similar cases of injustices and crimes against the innocent who know their perpetrators (family member, neighbor, friend, etc). These victims make for easy targets because they're "Trusting" as you've noted.................We can only/easily imagine what horrors the perp would have done if he hadn't been so familiar with the neighboring victim............or it had been a she or unknown to him on a more personal level.

A cordless drill with an extra long drill bit, two extra batteries, a roll of duct tape, and a case of beer (for me) and I would be happy to instill the manners and respect for others that his parents failed to do!

...and make no mistake his parents are to blame!
