If they released too much tracking info they'd have to worry about crazed Camaro5 members following the trailers all over the country.

Are you kidding? Binding contract? Putting down a deposit for something that wasnt even built yet does not gauranty it will ever get built or when.

To the OP: My dealer told me a 'rough estimate' of when I could get my car, with one caveat: "This is a brand new car, and you will be one of the first to get it, so things could get held up while some bugs get worked out. They are going to be QC-ing the shit out of these things."

If you want to be one of the first to get something, expect the unexpected. You might have to wait, and while I understand the frustration, complaints on the internet will not speed things up.

Is your car built already? Maybe it is in QC. If you are wondering when it will get built, GM or your dealer should be able to let you know.

As Camaro Scotty said, dealers can decide if they are gonna relese them on May 6th or earlier. If your dealer actually has your car and is waiting till may 6th, then you should have a talk with them about it.

I imagine if the economy wasn't taking a dump for the last 18 months there would probably be a lot more Camaro pre-orders.

Yes, GM has given out a ton of information, which is great. I really do appreciate it. But I am a facts person. When I purchase something I want to know the details about it, how much it cost and when I will receive it. So far GM has done pretty good on the first 2... still lacking on the third.

I can't think of anything that anyone could complain about once the car gets here. The only complaints heard here after that will probably from the people who still haven't gotten their cars yet and the complaint will be "Hey, where'd everybody go?" The answer....."Out driving my Maro!"
