Mirrored Turn Signal Bulbs

I want to put mirrored turn signal bulbs in the front grill to get rid of the ugly amber in the reflector housing. The bulbs emit an amber color when on but they are coated with the same material used for one way mirrors so that the housing doesn't show amber when the bulb isn't on.

Anyone know the what the L&R turn signal bulb type is. I tried looking in the Wiki and the search but couldn't find anything?

I had the bulbs for almost two years on my last car and they never did. Pretty sure its a form of electroplating to glass to do this so I think the coating is there for good.

Or at least for longer than the filament lasts.

Or are these LED based?

I can't figure out how to remove the bulb. I removed the disconnect but I can't get the bulb out. I tried turning clockwise and counter clockwise and even while pushing it in but nothing.

Here are some pictures

Forgive me if you read the manual - there are directions on pages 9-37 for the base vehicle and 9-38 for "Up-level" RS with HID.
