I have a 2011 ls v6. What rotors do I buy? Do v8 rotors fit my car? Don't want shitty China rotors either. Can someone help me with name brands or links. Thank you

Do you have Brembo brakes or the standard small brakes?

Why not use the stock rotors and pads as they are very good?

What are you looking to achieve? Better performance (if so, on the street or track?), less brake dust, slotted and/or cross drilled rotors, etc? V8 rotors will not fit the V6.

I'm just looking to replace my rotors and brakes at the same time. My buddy said the old rotors will eat the new pads so I wanted to get rid of the rusty stock rotors and put in drilled and slotted once for better looks. Not looking for better performance. As long as they stop and don't squeak.

The stock rotors are shit by the way they started chipping and rusting after about 2 years.

Rotors are iron.
The sky is blue.
Water is wet.
Iron rusts.

They didn't chip. And it's not where the brakes grab it's dis colored where the rim meets the rotor. They get rusty under the grey then the grey flaked off and left rust. I can't post a pic from my phone but I'll try later on my laptop.

I'm sure everyone's look like this after some years but I'd rather not have rust color rotors.

And Pete I didn't ask for a poem. good try tho.

You live in the same area as I do, and we get snow and then they put down road salt and that rusts out are cars. So your new rotors you put on now will be rusting after the winter, unless you park your car for winter.

Pull the wheels, wire brush the painted rusted area and repaint them on the car.

This is a pretty common request. We regularly use R1Concepts rotors and Hawk pads and have great results. As you can see, the hats are black rather than bare so they will not rust. There is not much you can do about the face of the rotor developing surface rust while it sits but that vanishes as soon as the car moves and the brakes are applied.
