The picture is corrected time based on density altitude, not temperature which are two different things.

The D/A was just my curiosity, but unrelated to the heat soak I mentioned in the first paragraph. The supercharged car is not the slowest, it has less variance when the altitude changes (and the air gets thinner) If you ran your supercharged car and I ran my N/A car at 100 ft above sea level and we both ran 12.0. Then we went up to 1450 ft above sea level your supercharged car that produces it's densely charged air with the blower would run about the same. My N/A car that relies on the air density would run slower at the higher altitude.

I believe Milan is at 500ft above sea level, but the air density that day was closer to 1450. When I ran my 12.9a on Saturday the air density was closer to 2450ft which at sea level would be closer to a 12.5.

I don't ever talk about my corrected times, but it is nice to see the effect air density has on a car. It is also the reason I really try to run in spring and fall on cool days as the air is more dense.

I hope that is clear??

Matt

Was your tc on? It sounded like a slight hesitation in rpm on your launch.

Question. Did you shift to fourth on every pass?

And at what RPM are you shifting?

No, it wasn't on, everything was off. Launching the car correctly is a big part of it and I felt like I need a lot more practice.

Yes, I had to right before the finish line

See that was a problem on my 2011 Camaro SS. I could trap higher if I redlined 3rd gear than if I shifted to fourth, after the cam install I raised my rev limiter anyways.

You need gears, even with 640 rwhp on my 2011 Camaro SS it's still fell on its face when shifting to 4th with those long gears. Unless your doing some really long pulls.

Those stock gears are great for mileage and 50-150 pulls on the highway.
