You mean it doesn't sound like a "TANK" as another member is quoted as saying?

I know it sounds awesome. Not very refined, but great for a delete. The solo Jpipes actually cancel more drone than my stock exhaust had in 6th gear on the highway.

You'll find both answers already in this thread.

This thread is two years old and i still have the same setup. I love the sound and have never heard anything i liked better, even at C5fest III. In this respect i just got lucky. I only chose solo because of an easy installation i could do myself. It was later on that i bought a welder that could handle stainless, and that's when I added quad tips.

I think it always sounds refined outside. Well, aggressive in a refined way. No rasp. I hate rasp. Like you said, it has a very mild drone inside from 1650-1750rpms with a load on the engine, similar to stock.

Do the J pipes make a noticeable difference in quieting down the drone in the cabin with a muffler delete?

Glad I found this thread. I need a rear diffuser to fit the GM performance exhaust with quad tips (ZL1 exhaust). Thanks John Deere Boy!

Was there any noticeable sound difference going to the Quad Tips?

I think it sounds great!
