If you are still covered under your 3 year/36,000 mile warranty than the dealer is responsible. Go to a different dealer if they are telling you GM isn’t going to cover the claim. (Unless you’re car is out of the warranty). Also the most recent TSB is 18-NA-355 and DOES NOT require diagnosis.

Got mine done under warranty. They did say they had to diagnose it first. Find another dealer.

is covered under the 5 year 60,000 or 100,000 warranty. not the 3 year 36k bumper to bumper.

I should have bought a ZL1

I was told by a couple dealers around me that it’s covered under the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.

wrong its drivetrain. its the transmission. its part of the drivetrain. you should report those dealers to gm. they are trying to scam you. By lying and saying its out of warranty they figure you will pay for it. That is a scam and GM would want to know about it. Those dealers have probably ripped alot of people off that way.

going to the local dealer for the flush monday. I am no longer in the 3 year window but when I called to make the apt, the service manager said it would be covered under the 5 year window.

I will be bringing the TSB is 18-NA-355

Guys, Drive train(engine, trans, drive shaft, rear differential assembly) issues fall under the 5yr 60k mile powertrain warranty if you bought new or 6yr 100k mi if you bought CPO. The dealer is full of shit if they say it's only covered under the 3yr 36k mi bumper to bumper.
