mods n smog in vegas - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

just curious how smoging in las vegas goes for those of you with more obvious mods like cams and longtubes since techs are supposed to take a peek under the hood. id like to make moar powah but id also rather not have to find a shop to bribe or do a cam and header swap every year just to drive my car.

no underhood or underbody inspection was performed
drove beforehand to get everything hot (so the cats are working as well as possible)
closed the npp so it sounded stock and minimized suspicion
drove in very gently to minimize exhaust output (cats get overwhelmed anywhere above idle)
did it on a day with at least a mild breeze to blow away any stank that the cats missed

passed without a problem. note that i still dont have a cam however so cant attest to that portion.
