Lower Grille on Concept Vs. Lower Grille on Pre-Pro's

I like the lower grille on the concepts better than the grille on the pre-production cars. I wonder why they changed it? The concept's has less slats and is inset much farther. It seems like the lower slot is a bit thinner too.

EDIT: I'm starting to wonder if the smaller, more inset grille won't be on the LS and LT cars, whereas the larger grille won't be only on the SS cars...

They both look good in my opinion, the concept looks sleeker and perhaps a little better but the production came out great..

Ill agree w/ you on that. To me, the concept lower grill matches the main grill a little better than on the production. thats just my opinion

Meh.

I'm not sure the difference is really anything that I am concerned about...

I like em both.

I like the production just fine. But I'll admit, the deeper set lower grille of the concept is better for that reason alone.

The concept has only one vertical line. The pre-pro's have two.

Really, the whole lower facia has been redesigned. The lip on the bottom extends out farther and goes from side to side on the pre-pro's, whereas the concept's ends right after the fog lights.

Look at all the plastic required to be stamped out on the concept car...that's REAL deep...I'll be that's part of the reason they changed it.

That could be the production version is a little less wide. It's still going all the way to the edge on the production model.

Could just be the angle of the camera as the picture was taken. Not really sure.
