An easy pull of a fuse or quick snip of a wire will prevent it.

Yup. There are more ways to track you that could be more valuable than "OMG this guy is going 50mph in a 45!! He also has the A/C on and listening to punk rock". A cell phone, the common person, takes EVERYWHERE, surfs the web, talks to people, etc... If I was going to track someone, first bet is their cell phone rather than their car.

i knew of someone that was going from San Diego to Vegas in a Corvette and was speeding only to have someone from OnStar come over and tell them they were driving over the posted speed limit. Later everything Onstar was removed from his vehicle.
