Released from QC Hold! (My timeline for reference)

I just called the 800 customer service number because I was told on thursday 5/15 that my car was on QC Hold by my dealer (not sure exactly when it was placed on hold, but car was built either 5/7 or 5/8). The customer service rep said today that the car was released from QC Hold and dispatched from Oshawa on Saturday 5/16.


Still no ETA though, but I spent only about a week in QC. Just posting to give a reference timeline and to let everyone know that there is a path out of the Oshawa triangle.

congrats. hope it makes it onto a truck soon...adn hopefully the truck drivers don't take it for a spin like they did with mine.

Mine had 21 miles on it when leaving Oshawa. When it arrived at Toms dealer?....29 miles.

Anyone care to tell me how in the world that happened??GRRRR

I'll post pics of my delivery soon on the IOM color thread, did not go to qc. But you may be glad you did. Dealer has some work to do.

UPDATE: My dealer just called saying he doesn't know when it will be delivered and said he is sending me my deposit back. I told him about calling the 800 number this morning and about what they said and he said he had to talk to his General Manager and will call me back.

Do you think he is trying to get rid of my attachment to this order so they can sell it above MSRP? My original salesman said I was the only one they were selling at MSRP (and he no longer works there).

When my dealer calls back, I'll post up what he says.

Glad to see your car is moving. I think there is no path from the Camaro Triangle for us who put up the cash last year. I have been in QC hold since April 4. I ordered on Oct 13,2008, Vin2585 built on April 3, and who knows when it will come. My dealer keeps saying it is in transit, but he told me that April 17, and again last week, but still no car. I just called that 800 number they said that it is on a train but do not know where or when it left, or even where it left from, Oshawa or Pontiac, or when it will be here. I am beginning to think this is all bull. I wish the train link was still being updated by KK2010SS. As usual, more info comes from this site than GM or it's dealers.

WTF....yeah, imo, its sounds like greed has taken over yet another dealer. Don't take that crap! Call the BBB, TV, attorney general and whoever else might help....and let them know in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that you will. Bad publicity CAN shut that dealership down....if GM doesn't

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until they call me back. I just called him again and said I don't mind waiting a little longer and not to send my deposit back. He said the last news he received was that the car was on hold at Oshawa with no reason why or when it was expected to be released. He is waiting on a call from his GM contact to verify the info I gave him.

Either way if it works out that they try to cheat me, best believe I will be calling the BBB, TV, AG, Nate Dogg AND Warren G so they can reg-u-late!!!

Look what happens when it DOES NOT stay in QC. Passenger door. But dealer is SUPER and will fix in a jiffy! It real is more orange than it looks even on the truck
