LS3 Tune Only Results .. Also stock LS3 vs. L99 dyno graph

I did a search for this and didn't find anything, so figured I'd share the results we got.

Not too bad. We may have been able to get some more out of it, but we just want to get some good baseline numbers after each mod. Car gets American Racing Headers w/o cats next week. We'll be doing a dyno/retune and see what we get!

Also, fwiw here is my stock LS3 vs stock L99 dyno graph from the same dyno.

am I reading it correctly? The stock HP for L99 is 314? That seems to be a huge loss from the 400hp at the flywheel.

Showing 319.4 so about a 20% loss on the Auto. I think this is what most are seeing .. And about 15 - 16 % on the manual.

That's what we've been seeing. Mine was 317 best pull.

314 or 317, that is still nice numbers at the wheels. Just a bit shocked at the difference in hp loss on the L99/auto to the LS3/manual

Just for fun I calculated the rwhp average one would expect to see from an
LS3 and L99 if used in the car (same transmission). And of course this would vary greatly from dyno to dyno. But its interesting to see.

Both in the M6 stick/manual

LS3 = 426hp x .15 % = 64
426hp - 64 = 362 rwhp

L99 = 400hp x .15 = 60
400 - 60 = 340 rwhp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both in the A6 automatic

LS3 = 426 x .20 = 85
426 - 85 = 341 rwhp

L99 = 400hp x .20 = 80
400 - 80 = 320 rwhp
