Lowering Spring install question

I installed 1 inch BMR lowering springs, just got done with the front and at the top of the strut brace in the engine bay the top cap no longer sits flush? Does anyone have experience in this area? Did I do something wrong or is this normal? I heard you can just flip the cap over and retighten back down. Any help is appreciated
