I've been to dozens of them and seen thousands of cars sold at auctions (my parents work for the sheriffs dept and we know all the repo men in three counties). These gems are few and far between. I've seen only one good car at a good price in the last 10 years, the rest were cars that you would expect on a used car lot and was selling for about the same price.

Don't forget local Banks and Credit unions. Often they have repos for sale, and depending if the vehicle was voluntarilly surrendered, some come back in really good condition. Others...Uh, not so much.

Realize based on the info on the site it

a) is an 8 year old car
b) could be a v6
c) could be in any sort of condition as these cars are sold as-is.

Depending on the auction many cars have branded titles, or other sorts of history or damage that make it nothing more than a parts car.

I agree, I've been to some dealer auctions where they sell mostly fleet cars but bank repos and others as well. There are some nice deals to be had especially if you want a plain jane car, but nothing so earth shattering I would quit my job and go into the car flipping business.
