SS vs Taurus SHO - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Was on way from home and a Black Camaro SS with Ohio tags blows by me leaving me setting and I was rolling 65 MPH (limit). From around the curve I heard the siren coming and about that time a WV SP Cruiser blows by. About a three miles down the road the Taurus won

Guy did not look too grand as they were drawn on him making him get out of the car.

Wondering if that is someone from this board that just lost their mind for a second lol.

Would of took pics but here if you are caught with a cell in your hand while behind the wheel it is a primary offense now.

Oh, I thought you meant the actual SS, not a Camaro SS. I figured that because you are comparing it to another sedan. I see now that it is a police car the Taurus. Carry on...

I am guessing the SS driver came to his senses and gave up. Unless that SHO was tuned with a couple bolt ons it would not be overtaking even a stock SS.

That's the thing about cops though, they don't really need to be faster. Even the hottest sports car in the world can't outrun a radio.

Nothing special about the new Ford Taurus. It's lighter than the Camaro straight from the factory but once you add on all the extra goodies required to make it patrol ready , it actually heavier than a Camaro. The Ford Taurus is about 300+HP, all wheel drive and ford hasn't released the info to tune the new Taurus.
