QUESTION ABOUT RECEIVING MY CAR - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well, I got my VIN about 3 weeks ago. The dealer says he thinks my car will be here this weekend. BUT, i dont believe him because i dont even have an invoice yet. So my questions are:

1) Do you get the invoice before it ships? or can it ship and get one in the process?
2) How long after an invoice is received, can I expect delivery? (generally speaking based on other peoples experiences.)
3) How can VINS way higher than mine, 3-4 hundred higher, have invoices already and not me?
4) Does this mean Area 51?

I dont know bro. I have an invoice from my dealer the day I ordered it. It includes taxes tags ect ect. Total price of the vehicle and down payment amount. Obviously there is no vin on there yet. I dont know if thats the invoice your thinking of or not though.

I wish I could help ya brother- but unfortunately its not an exact science. My car was built 3 weeks ago, invoiced to the dealer 2 weeks ago with a due date on the invoice of 6/1. Unfortunately, no car yet. I'm trying my best to be patient but I get at least 1 day a week where I go absolutely freakin insane..that was today. Hopefully I'll be calm the rest of the week. All I know is it could be any day now that I get the call, its been "in transit" since 5/20.

I got mine 5 days after it invoiced and im in Texas.

i got mine a 2 weeks after they had the invoice... it was held in West Palm Beach and I am in Miami.

I got the window sticker & invoice and MSO 4 days after mi vin but the car came 40= days after that, so you can be in area 51 you need to post it in "The official Built and Bayed (QC hold) thread " to see if "2010 SS RS" can add it to the list and find some more info on your car, He got updated yesterday from GM on the list, Good luck.
